Their Fictional Characters!

Good Kid has many different characters that show up in their animated music videos and cover art, with six main characters. Nomu Kid is a central character in their universe, and due to time travel and wacky universes, his older self, Rebel, lives alongside him.There is also a third variant of Nomu, Umon, (yes, it's just "Nomu" backwards) who is a shadow-like, antagonistic version of Rebel, often holding him back and keeping him trapped. Rebel and Nomu do, however, have their best friends Mimi and Gentu. Mimi first appears in "Mimi's Delivery Service"(shocker), where she struggles with her futuristic technilogical creations. Just before giving in, she notices her cat, Nu, stuck on the roof of a giant building! So, of course, she fixes her issues a quick and creative way and saves her cat. Gentu is a little newer, first appearing on the artwork for the song "Break", and is a main character in the music animation for "Wall".Gentu has one fully mechanical arm - which he can open a little door and store things inside of - and covers his face in a steampunk style Tengu mask. (Tengu? Gentu? Hmmm?) He also enjoys doing grafiti and playing guitar. Their song "Eastside", released on Febuary 3rd, 2026, has cover artwork as well as an animation featuring mainly Gentu. While there are a ton of other side characters, there is another very important character who was just introduced on March 13th. In their newest song, "Cicada", a new character named Ada is introduced, and in the animated music video, she is shown to have a beautiful voice, although she was unofficially introduced in the animation for eastside as mysterious, possibly an antagonist.
